Christmas concerts bring the spirit of the season

eclipse-6

One of my favorite things each Christmas season is attending our family’s favorite Christmas concert.  Somehow hearing the music of Christmas and spending time with my family is just what I need to completely immerse myself in the spirit of the season.  We attended the Eclipse concert tonight and, as always, came away feeling closer to the Christ-child and really wanting to feel that way

Our annual family Halloween dinner is one of my favorite things about this holiday!  It’s fun coming up with a new menu, creative names for the food, and finding a few new decorating ideas.  So, here’s my menu and the pics from our dinner last night.   I used glow-in-the-dark fangs for my napkin holder along with a spider and a straw.  Plain black plates

Fall in Love bridal shower and caramel apple “how to”

I can't help falling

Last Saturday we had a shower for my new daughter-in-law to-be, Gaelyn!  We are so excited to have her in our family!  Not only is she talented, hard working, beautiful, and fun but she is the perfect match for my son Parker!  We are really blessed.  I came up with the name after looking at all the fun fall ideas and the “fall in love”

Looking forward to General Conference…

For those of you who are not familiar with General Conference… it happens twice a year and it’s a conference where we, as members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, have the opportunity to hear from our beloved Prophet and other church leaders.  It lasts for two days for a total of five 2-hour sessions.  We will hear talks on how we
